I am more than excited to be sharing this extremely special, unique and beautiful wedding of Erin and Souki's. This was hands down one of the most beautiful weddings I have witnessed and documented! I could have shared 500+photos but I am going to try to keep it at 50 ;)

I have known both Erin and Souki for a while now. Souki's family owns and operates the Thai restaurant in the town I live in, and they have been coming to me for family photos for the last few years. They currently reside in Austin, TX but Vermont is still home sweet home to the both of them. I was so happy when Erin wanted to book me for their wedding, knowing that she was going to make it extra special.

The one aspect I was a little nervous about was the 11 am ceremony. Us photographers know that if it's a nice day, that is the start of some of the harshest sunlight to photograph in. Nonetheless, after Erin sent me pictures showing off the layout of the property and all of the shaded areas, I knew we would be okay! It ended up being such a beautiful and perfect day. I arrived at 7:30 am to start my coverage. It felt SO nice to be up and at it that early in the morning. Being on Lake Champlain at this insanely gorgeous property owned by Erin's aunt and uncle was heaven. As per Erin's request and wishes, I won't be showcasing any photos that include the outside or inside of the house. But when I say that it was lovely and complimented the entirety of their day, I mean it!

The florals were gorgeous and colorful, the shrine, candles and incense, it all tied everything together so well and their vision for the day was nothing short of stunning. The ceremony was Buddhist and consisted of offerings that each one of their children presented to them. There was singing and dancing by their two daughters and nephews. Souki got me right in the feels with his tears of happiness and love for Erin. It was all around such a special ceremony and I am humbled to have been there and witness their union.

It was also Souki's mother's birthday, so in honor they lit candles for her and handed out champagne with cookies, as well as presented her with a gift. She was so tickled and the smile on her face was precious. After lunch, everyone went on a walk around the property and skipped wishing stones into the lake. Everything was perfect. That's the only word I can think of to describe it. I hope you enjoy taking a look through some of the most special moments from their day! I will probably obsess over these pictures for a long time :)
