Hannah and Michael, like all of my couples, are so down to Earth and kind that how could their wedding day not go perfectly? I first met them at their engagement session in September 2018. If I remember correctly, we did it a year to the day of their wedding, so that was a nice ode to their wedding day that we were able to do their engagement session at their land where they were in the process of building their home - and exactly a year later would be able to walk into their home as husband and wife.

I woke up the morning of their wedding and had a huge smile on my face because it was without a doubt one of the most beautiful and perfect September days you could ask for. The sun was shining and it was warm and beautiful out - could not have asked for a better day for a wedding here in Vermont.

I arrived at Hannah and Michael's house in Wheelock where her and her bridesmaids were getting ready, and my second photographer Heather went to the cabins up at Burke Mountain where Michael and his groomsmen were getting ready. Heather did such a great job getting the shots of the guys and made my job a whole lot easier. Once they were done, they came to the house to get ready for the first look and the majority of the family and bridal party photos done.

Before doing the first look with her groom-to-be, Hannah wanted to do a first look with her Dad - but she had a trick up her sleeve to lighten the mood. Her younger brother Seth dressed up in a white dress, and we brought Dad out onto the porch of Hannah and Michael's house and we acted like Hannah was getting ready to come out. Her Dad was already starting to get emotional before turning around to see what he thought would be her, but instead he turned around to see his son in a white dress. The look on his price was priceless. After torturing Dad, Hannah came out and they had a beautiful father daughter moment to themselves.

There were so many things that made this day so special - Hannah's brother Seth was the officient who married Hannah and Michael, their bridal party was so much fun (see pics below), their family was generous, the colors were beautiful - it was all around a wonderful and perfect day. I absolutely love nothing more than a tent reception in a wide open field in Vermont. I am so happy to have been able to document their love for each other. I think the pictures will speak for themselves, so please enjoy taking a look at the Johnson Wedding!
